First of all, this shoe is not meant for anyone with a low arch. The insoles will dig into your arch and gradually cause severe discomfort and foot pain with continual use. I swapped out the insoles and it pretty much solved this particular problem, but it's an additional expense. The next issue is the width, even a wide is not wide enough. The toebox is too tight and it squeezes the sides of the ball of the foot, leaving your feet sore by the end of the day. With continued use, my feet were getting worse and worse, eventually not being able to fully recover even after two days of rest. If you have wider feet, these shoes will not work. It also seemed clunky as I was walking compared to the hiking boot I wore before these, though not overly heavy, it was more of an awkward drag

This is a good boot. I’ve had them a year and didn’t realize it until a coworker told me it was time for us all to get new boots. The grip is still good and overall they appear in good shape.

Other than the size (feels one full size too small) and the width (feels wider than marked) the boots are great.

I found these boots to be very comfortable. You won't mistake these for sneakers but they're not too heavy and a good alternative to the standard boot.
